Niki Foley
Wilderness Leader and Educator
Cloudberry Adventures & Instruction was founded in 2022. It is the professional instruction company of wilderness & ocean guide and educator, Niki Foley.
Niki is an outdoor educator, passionate about getting all people outdoors. Niki's particular passion lies in educating and empowering youth to find purpose and confidence in the outdoor industry.
Cloudberry offers instruction in sea kayaking, paddleboarding, bushcraft, and camping skills.
We aim to particularly offer instruction to youth, women & girls, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We strongly believe that the outdoor industry needs more safe and inclusive spaces to allow for skill progression and learning.
Field Experience
Hiking
As a hiking guide I have lead both day tours and week long backpacking trips. My internship progject with AllTrails has made me highly comfortable with navigation. I have worked with both adults, families, and youth. My particular passion lies in guiding youth on multiday trips.

Winter Tripping
In winter environments I have experience both working trip logistics management, involving snowmobile drops and student management, as well as work as a guide on expedition for multiple years. I really appreciate the creative opportunities offered by a winter expedition and understand the logistics involved for both basecamp style trips, and backcountry expeditions.
Program Development +Instruction
My passion in the industry strongly lies in program development and instruction, particularly with youth on expedition. I have experience developing and instructing programming for school curricula, camp programs, and therapeutic programs, in all seasons and multiple disciplines. Kayak
As a kayaker I have a natural ease and comfort on the ocean , with experience in dynamic water both personally (solo+group) and professionally. I am skilled in reading and understanding the water, particularly on the fly. I've worked with children, youth, adults, and families, in tourism and educational capacities.
Paddleboard
As a paddleboarder I have guided exclusively on the ocean. I have a huge passion for the intimate water connection paddleboarding fosters, and my personal ambitions lie in paddling increasingly dynamic waters. I have worked with youth, adults, and families in tourism capacities, and am a Paddle Canada SUP Instructor.
Canoeing
I have worked as a canoe guide both on the ocean and flatwater lakes and rivers in Ontario. I greatly appreciate the camaraderie fostered by canoe tripping expeditions, particularly with groups of youth. I have worked with voyageur, tandem, and solo canoes.
